2 captivating museums invite you to discover our heritage : art and traditions in the Musée agathois, sunken treasures in the Musée de l'Ephèbe.

The Musée Agathois, located in the centre of Agde, will show you life in Agde from the antiquity to the present : folklore, winegrowing and seafaring activities? Reconstructions of the interior of houses evoke everyday life in the past. The museum also has a collection of paintings, pottery, lace-works.

Nestled amidst the green in Le Cap d'Agde, the Musée de l'Ephèbe offers 3 galleries dedicated to underwater archaeology : modern gallery, with cutlery and artillery from 17th - 18th century wrecks of the royal fleet ; navigation in antiquity, with Greek-Roman amphoras and ship armament ; bronze gallery, with the most impressive collection of pieces of art and utilities found in situ, including the Ephebe (the museum's showpiece), Cupid and the Roman child, dating back to between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD.
